A Great Suggestion! Part of my planned Graphical Upgrades, which keep getting pushed back in Favor of MOAR CONTENT! RAWR!!!

    Thanks!

suggestion: before the round starts maybe chuck in the ‘loading screen’ the roster; pics and names of players, in this vid only the team names were displayed on the 1st screen while the names and classes of team members were just narrated which can feel a little bit abstract.

Nevertheless i just suscribed and loved the casting, not to mention how cool the team skins look. /hunger4moar

Very good camera work. We saw what we wanted to when we needed to. Keep up the good work!

This is pretty sweet. When you’re playing you never get to see the entire battle going on around you like this. And it’s cool to see some good teams and how they work together.

Great commentary, maybe consider another guy as well to do some color commentary during quiet/stalemates. Pro work all around

  6. rasui80 on March 6th, 2010 5:34 am

Just amazing, the camera work and the commentarys, awesome.

  7. Davemanz on March 6th, 2010 5:34 am

Thank you for having commentary that doesn’t suck. I appreciate having someone who isn’t neckbeardy doing the voiceover.

Your guys’ stuff is great. I love the camera work, I love the surprisingly professional commentary, all the little tweaks to things like their uniforms, the control point icons and the comp HUD. This is quality work. It’s like the ESPN of TF2.

    Probably just changed the hue.

    Great job filming the action
my only suggestion is to throw in some slowmo replays on a few of the good battles.

Same guy who did the commentary ;) Thx

  11. ptrLeGrand on March 6th, 2010 5:34 am

Very interresting video! The guy who “filmed” did a freackin great job!

omg TLR I love that guy he’s hecka good

  14. RecklessZero13 on March 6th, 2010 5:34 am

Great commentary mang. You should add some more energy into your voice though. Like Obama.

    I disagree…
I like to go out in the open and fight..
after the enemy gets the first point I put random level 1 sentys everywhere to hid from the enemy….
    Behind houses, rocks, ditches, roofs
of course the enemy will destroy it but after that all I do is make a new one

competative tf2 looks cool and all, and i was in it once, but…. i dont see how it’s fun. i was in a LAN party and did some tf2 comptetative matches, and it was just annoying more than fun, even though i was doing actually quite well

Yet, pro snipers are wonderfull to have

If you can get a snap-headshotting sniper to take out scouts its a godsend

  18. LordNerdzrool on March 6th, 2010 5:34 am

Not always a bad idea. By doing what they did and ubering the two scouts and having them run behind, they are able to harass better while giving the remaining uber to the solders/demo after the tactic was done. The result is two scouts are now behind them and heavier classes in front of them. as compared to uber’d guys pounding on each other at the same time making no gains or loss. It’s a clever move, if it was intentional, and it seems to have been.

Also, what do you mean by people uber Medics? You mean people play Medics (There’s only one Medic on each team…)? Medics are an indispensable class, healing teammates when they’re hurt is the reason people are able to stay alive for so long, even if it is a short time sometimes. The Ubercharge can also change a game, for better or for worse. There are several examples of that in this video, one where CB (The Medic) ubered the two Scouts, which probably wasn’t a great idea.

  20. PixelSith64 on March 6th, 2010 5:34 am

One that stays away from the action and takes out enemies in the distance.

The Pyro is sometimes used, I remember MmM using it again EG in another match I saw (Maybe it was EG using Pyro? I don’t remember 100%)

The Engineer isn’t very viable either, due to the fact that his main strength is his Sentry, and he’d have to constantly be destroying and rebuilding to get to the front lines, plus the fact that it takes awhile to actually have a level 3 Sentry up to be a threat.

  21. PixelSith64 on March 6th, 2010 5:34 am

I actually find it fairly interesting to watch. The problem with Spies is that both teams are communicating with their players constantly, so a Spy can’t backstab a Demoman, disguise as him and then get away with it. They always usually stay in groups, or at least relatively close to each other.

Sometimes people go Sniper, BloodSire did near the end, but again, not the most useful class because it’s not going to be able to get to the field quickly and he’s a long range class-

  22. PixelSith64 on March 6th, 2010 5:34 am

I don’t think any Medics in comp use the Blutsauger though, because the Medic’s main job will be to heal people and he’ll get his natural health regeneration. The Blutsauger encourages Medics to fight on their own to get health that way and with a decreased health regen rate.

Is the Sandman still banned though? I assume it isn’t, but I’m not sure.

  23. stan007stan on March 6th, 2010 5:34 am

FUN classes will make you die but anyway sometimes competitive players will use the spy.

  24. MysticRixel on March 6th, 2010 5:34 am

The DirectHit isn’t too bad, it works with W+M1 Pyros and the HuntsMan is AWESOME.

  25. biggmayor on March 6th, 2010 5:34 am

    cuz most unlocks are terrible.

Unlocks that are viable in comp play- All medic gear.

everything else is situational (minus the equalizer which may be banned still)

Got something to say?
